I just realized today that I’m running low on my favorite way to make the holidays easier (and more sustainable!): reusable gift bags! No, I’m not talking about paper gift bags that you use over and over until they become trash. I’m talking about actual fabric gift bags.
These can actually cost about the same as a paper gift bag, and they can be used many, many more times. Normally I try to keep these in the family so I can be the one to reuse them, ha, but this year I am running low.
I love to have a big stash of gift bags because it makes the wrapping go so much more quickly. (If you’re like me and anything your child asks for starting in . . . about October . . . is saved to be a Christmas or Hanukkah gift, you do a lot of wrapping.
So as I am shopping to replenish my stock, I thought I’d share some of my favorites with you! These are affiliate links, so I get a little cut if you buy them from these links. Every little bit helps!
Adorable Santa Gift Bag: This bag is so cute–the big one is the perfect size for many gifts. The smaller one helps keep tiny treasures from getting lost. The fabric is very nice and doesn’t feel cheap. This year I’m going to get the cute plaid ones too. It will be great to have some that aren’t specifically for holidays so I can use them for birthdays, too!

Giant Santa Gift Bags: These are so fun because they’re just what I picture Santa having on his sleigh! I buy my kid a lot of clothes for Christmas (see: anything she needs in the next size up gets saved for Christmas) and it saves me so much time to just shove them in here. Clothes are her least favorite present (but come on, having a few of these bags around the tree is just such a good look) so often I’ll hide a toy in there with all the clothes too. Now I do not need to reorder these as I rarely gift such large amounts outside of my household. I do have a warning to be careful if you write a name on them. I wrote two names on one for a joint gift and now I can’t use it again until my kid and her cousin get another joint gift, ha. The one with just her name gets used every year.

Ok, now on to bags I haven’t specifically tried–a lot of the products I ordered in the past are no longer available, whomp whomp. I am ordering these now and will come delete them if they suck, I promise!
How smart is this? We do both Christmas and Hanukkah and I label Hanukkah gifts with the very wise but absolutely not fail proof method of post-it notes, ha. I do give them specifically in order because I want my kid to get the warmest and coziest things first so she can use them right away. These specific bags look too small for my Hanukkah gifting (apiece of clothing, a book, and a very small toy each night, normally). But they might be great for yours! If anyone can find them bigger with good reviews, hit me up! (Or I suppose I could get plain bags and write on them, but that won’t be as cute.)

These are a replacement for my original order that is out of stock. These are the best size for most kid clothes, toys, and stuffed animals. Let’s hope I love these as much! I think I need them for birthdays too.

I am hoping these work as well as the ones I had and gave away! Those are out of stock. I’ve already done this year’s Hanukkah gifts, but there’s no way I will remember to order them in time next year, so here we go.

This might seem like a lot of money, but if you look at what paper gift bags cost, it’s really about the same. And the time you save year after year will totally be worth it. The last time I ordered these bags was in 2021, so they lasted me four years before I started to run low!
